Frampon “the Dog”
Just Poppin’ in to say “Hi!”
Lobster Costume for Frampton
I went to Target last minute to see what I could get for Frampton. It was either a Bumble Bee with wings or a Lobster. The Bumble Bee went out of style in 1992 with Blind Melon’s ‘No Rain’ video - so the Lobster was the obvious choice.
He was such a good boy for the photo shoot - Layla Mangler would have ripped it off of her own back and possibly consumed herself in the process.
[Update]: Song to listen to while reading this post - “Rock Lobster”
Well - Here are some of the better pics from the Frampton photo shoot:
Kinda looks like he’s got Sebastian from ‘The Little Mermaid’ attacking him…
I think this picture means he’s had enough…
Clearly Frampton is less than thrilled. Let me know what you think in the comments!
So This Is What Goes On When I’m Gone
The Sky is Cryin’
Frampton insits that “Pride and Joy” was written about him while I keep telling Layla “Scuttle Buttin’” is her theme song.
Layla was so sad she didn’t even care that there was a piece of fluff on her nose…
Frampton moped around and basked in the beautiful music of Stevie Ray all day

First Impressions of the Apple iPhone
Normally when I get a new phone, I get to the car and anxiously pop it out of the box and coo at it for a bit… and charge it on the way home. This time, however, I decided to contain myself. I left it in the bag which AT&T securely sealed as if to prevent a mugging on the way to the parking lot. Actually, the iPhone box was very solidly constructed - and about the size of a brick. I suppose I could of swung it like a sock full of nickels to protect my new toy from thievery.
I made it home and downloaded iTunes 7.3 as fast as possible while I opened the box like a hungry monkey devouring a banana… only slightly more careful.
Apple really knows how to design a product and its packaging. Upon opening the box you see simply the iPhone sitting there in all its shining glory. Of course the phone is just a paperweight before you activate it with iTunes. Activation was very easy to do and once it was complete I was able to play with it.
My first worry was that the phone would not be as quick as the commercials and perhaps a bit sluggish. After playing with it for a few hours, loading it with music, podcasts, videos and TV shows I was not disappointed. What a sweet phone! It reacts so fluidly. Web pages are loaded epically fast over Wi-Fi.
Now that I approve, I wanted to see how the dogs responded to it.
Frampton was apprehensive at first.
Frampton is disappointed that it doesn’t taste like anything, however I was happy that it held up quite nicely to this test.
Layla would only play with the iPhone if it squeaked.
Overall verdict - We love it!
